PAAOHN Delaware Valley Educational Grant - 2010
Delaware Valley PAOHN is offering two $500.00 educational grants to PAAOHN members.  Each grant can be applied to an AOHN sponsored event listed below and can be used for registration, travel and lodging.  Details>>

• AAOHN Symposium – April 13-15, 2010   Anaheim, California

• PAAOHN Annual Conference – December 8-10, 2010  Hershey, Pennsylvania

• NEAOHN Conference –Sept. 22-24th, 2010, Mill Falls Inn, New Hampshire

Dorothy Saller & Betty Mouldar Awards

Previously chosen nominees are eligible for nomination again if they were not the state winner. All Active members of PAAOHN are eligible for consideration. Previous winners are asked to forfeit eligibility for 5 consecutive years after the year in which they received their award. All nominees are asked to attend the conference so that we may highlight nominees achievements, as well as winner, and also promote occupational health nursing. Award nomination packets are sent to all local chapter presidents annually by the Chair of the PAAOHN Achievement Awards Committee.
 
Criteria for the Dorothy Saller Outstanding Nurse Award
This award recognizes a nurse who has provided outstanding service to occupational health nursing, the occupational health nursing organization and to the local chapter through exceptional performance of professional responsibilities in all facets of occupational health nursing.   Nominator, generally the chapter president, should provide a letter of recommendation of less than 500 words.
A biographical sketch or resume from the candidate is requested.  The candidate should complete the Dorothy Saller Outstanding Nurse Award application form.
 
Criteria for the Betty Mouldar Award for Clinical Practice
This award is designed to give recognition and to encourage excellence and innovation in the practice of occupational health nursing. The candidates are scored on their education, certifications, work activities, interdisciplinary associations and skills, professional memberships, research done, their work programs, presentations made, and articles published.  Nominator, generally written by the Chapter president, should provide a  letter of recommendation of less than 500 words. A biographical sketch or resume from the candidate is requested.  Include offerings planned, prepared, and/or presented within the past 3 years. Indicate on each if you have presented the program and who your audience was. Indicate the length of time the presentation took.  The candidate should complete the Betty Mouldar Award for Clinical Practice Award application form.
 
Judging is completed by an impartial member of each local chapter appointed by each local chapter president to score all the award nominations using a standardized scoring sheet. Award winners are announced and presented with plaques and a $300.00 check at the Annual Meeting/Awards Ceremony.
